Tailgating Ventures partners with The V Foundation for Cancer Research
Donations begin with the launch of 2010 American Tailgating Tour
Charlotte, NC (August 10, 2010) Tailgating Ventures is proud to announce a partnership between the American Tailgating League (ATL) and The V Foundation for Cancer Research. Founded in 1993 in honor of Jim Valvano, The V Foundation pledges 100% of cash donations to cancer research. A portion of the proceeds from all American Tailgating League events, tournaments, and leagues will be donated to The V Foundation.
“I am honored that Tailgating Ventures can support the V Foundation through the American Tailgating League events,” says Stacey Moore, Founder and Managing Director of Tailgating Ventures. “Like many of the others that will participate in our events, cancer has had a direct impact on my life and taken away loved ones at far too early of an age. As an alumnus of NC State and a lifetime Wolfpack fan, I respected Coach Valvano’s spirit and passion. His ability to be close friends with some of his biggest competitors without compromising his desire to win relates well with the ATL motto: Connect. Compete. Win.”
The American Tailgating League will hold its first BT2 Bag Toss Satellite Tournament to benefit The V Foundation on August 14, 2010 at the Tilted Kilt in Charlotte, NC. Many additional tournaments will be a part of the American Tailgating Tour (ATT). The 2010 football tour kicks off Labor Day week-end in Atlanta, Georgia for the Chik-fil-A College Kickoff football game between the University of North Carolina and Louisiana State University. The Friday before the game, the American Tailgating League will host a Satellite Tournament at STATS sports bar in downtown Atlanta. Winning teams from all Satellite Tournaments get free entry into the BT2 Bag Toss Mega Bowl and other MegaGate activities. Mega Gate 2011, the ultimate tailgating experience, will be held at the Rio in Las Vegas over Super Bowl weekend.
